"Long days"

Corvan, day 1200:

I don't know when or how I ended up here. This first thing I remember his waking up on a beach. Wet, cold, and hungry. There was no one around which I thought was very strange for I was next to a harbor. Harbors are always busy with activity. No noise save for the chirping of birds and the surf of the salty ocean rushing by at my feet.

So I started to explore the harbor. With my backpack, one flashlight, and some painkillers I went searching trying to figure out were I was. So silent the area was, not even the humm of a running engine or any other sound of civilization... just silence.

That's when I heard them, you almost always hear them before you see them.

The Undead.

The smell came next and then what I saw almost caused me to fall over in a heart attack. A man, if you can call him that, came charging around the corner of a building snarling with blood covering his face, chunks of skin and meat missing from various parts of his body. He looked to of been dead for months and yet he was running full sprint at me like a crazed bull. I ran then, wondering just what kind of hell I was dropped into.

I made it into a building and ducked through it. It was small, only about twelve feet or so, so it must of been a storage building. I still managed to lose the dead thing in there, so I decided to climb the nearest crane and get a idea of what the heck is going on around here.

What I saw that day haunts me to this day... hordes of the dead things... people being eaten in the streets... so much blood... I passed out on that crane that day from the shock of the world I had awoken to. Although sleep came , it was nothing but images of that dead man chasing me... always chasing me with unrelenting fury and never taking pause.

I don't know if anyone will find this letter, but if you do I am probably dead now and among the others. I will keep writing until I die so this could either be a very large pile of letters or a small pile... I honestly do not know... and I am sorry you are in this world... it's not right for anyone.

My name is Corvan, and this is my story.
